Battery QA Lab Lead – National Compliance Platform Deployment

Savannah, GA

Company: Axyde Analytics, LLC (SDVOSB)
Location: Savannah, GA – Onsite, with limited regional travel
Compensation: $110K–$140K base + milestone bonuses + override share
Clearance: Public Trust or eligibility preferred (not required to start)
Start Date: Upon Funding (Expected August–September 2025)

🔍 Mission Summary

Axyde Analytics is deploying the first national battery requalification and compliance lab aligned with DOE and DOD intake regulations. As Battery QA Lead, you will operationalize the VinBatt Tier 1 QA node within our traceability enforcement platform. You will own execution of diagnostics, compliance-based sorting, and certificate-of-acceptance (CoA) issuance under VIREN, our governance engine.

You will act as the critical bridge between federal-grade traceability rules and real-world QA execution—ensuring every blocked or flagged battery is processed, justified, or escalated with full integrity.

🔧 What You’ll Build and Operate

  • Stand up and operate the VinBatt Tier 1 QA lab in Ashburn, VA

  • Deploy, calibrate, and maintain battery diagnostics and traceability systems

  • Manage custody intake, material classification, and VIREN-based decision logging

  • Execute and oversee CoA issuance and override handling procedures

  • Serve as the operational interpreter of VIREN rule logic: ensure every blocked/flagged item is dispositioned properly

  • Collaborate with platform developers and regulatory staff to tune rules and escalation thresholds

  • Lead internal reviews of override justification, flag resolution, and throughput anomalies

  • Recruit and supervise lab technicians and junior QA staff

  • Maintain NFPA, EPA, and DOE-aligned compliance processes onsite

  • Report metrics to Axyde HQ on throughput, override rates, and compliance events

🧐 Ideal Experience

  • 5+ years leading QA, diagnostics, or R&D lab operations

  • Strong battery background (lithium-ion preferred), including hands-on with testing equipment

  • Experience in federal, defense, or regulated energy QA environments

  • Comfortable interpreting rule-based logic (e.g. if-then criteria, CoA gates, override conditions)

  • Familiarity with NFPA 855, EPA Universal Waste protocols, or DOE battery handling standards

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and scale throughput

  • Veterans and federal-sector professionals strongly encouraged to apply

💼 Compensation and Incentives

  • $110K–$140K base salary

  • $10K–$25K milestone bonuses tied to throughput and successful CoA delivery

  • Optional 0.1%–0.25% non-dilutive override share in platform net income

  • No equity dilution or grant dependency—upside tied directly to mission execution

This is not a compliance checklist role. You will become the operational conscience of the platform—executing traceability enforcement with both rigor and real-world sense. This lab is the national standard. You are its first field commander.
