Combustible-Dust & Reactive-Metals Process-Safety Specialist — USTDA Critical Minerals

Axyde Analytics is recruiting a senior combustible-dust and reactive-metals process-safety specialist for contingent USTDA critical-minerals project-scoping work.

The specialist will assess dust-explosion, fire, deflagration, thermal-runaway and reactive-material hazards in mineral processing, refining, metal/alloy/powder production, graphite and battery-material facilities.

Required evidence:
• 15+ years in chemical, metallurgical, mining or process-safety engineering; advanced technical degree strongly preferred.
• Personal leadership of DHA, HAZOP, LOPA or equivalent studies involving combustible dusts, reactive metals, powders, hydrogen or hazardous-material handling.
• Demonstrated application of NFPA, OSHA or internationally comparable codes; dust testing; ignition and explosion protection; ventilation, inerting, segregation, relief/suppression and emergency-response controls.
• Experience translating laboratory and process data into design-basis hazards, safeguards, acceptance criteria and residual-risk statements.
• Ability to serve as a technical lead, alternate or independent reviewer based on project independence and OCI facts.
• Strong written communication for Government decision products.

Engagement is remote, project-based and contingent on contract award and assignment authorization; no minimum work is guaranteed. Limited travel to U.S. and international locations subject to U.S. Department of State Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories may be required.
