Senior Instructional Design Lead / Curriculum Modernization Consultant — Remote
SHORT CONSULTING ENGAGEMENT — CURRICULUM MODERNIZATION
Axyde Analytics, LLC seeks an experienced instructional-design consultant for a focused initial assignment supporting our response to the USPTO Patent Examiner Training Program modernization RFI (ACQ-26-9999). This is an Axyde consulting opportunity, not a Government appointment or an awarded delivery position.
INITIAL ASSIGNMENT
• Review our approach to assessing and revising a 125-course technical/legal training curriculum.
• Recommend a practical course-inventory, learning-objective, SME-review and quality-assurance process.
• Provide a concise, accurately attributed account of your relevant curriculum-modernization experience and discuss a potential delivery role.
• Initial planning estimate: approximately 4–8 hours, with scope and fee agreed in writing before work. Additional work is separately agreed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Documented personal responsibility for revising one curriculum containing MORE THAN 40 COURSES. Experience across many unrelated small projects does not by itself meet this requirement. Technical, legal, regulatory or intellectual-property audiences are preferred.
Experience should demonstrate instructional design, adult learning, coordination with subject-matter experts, curriculum mapping, assessment design and implementation planning. Independent consultants and specialists working through a firm are welcome.

ENGAGEMENT AND TIMING
The initial review can be performed remotely; Midlothian, Virginia is Axyde’s administrative base. Prompt applications are encouraged because the RFI response is due September 30, 2026 at 1 p.m. Eastern. This is an estimated short consulting assignment, not full-time employment or guaranteed hours. Any selected consulting work is paid under mutually agreed written terms. Potential follow-on work depends on procurement, award, funding, scope and mutual agreement; travel or onsite work would be agreed separately.
An application does not authorize use of your name, résumé, client references or employer’s project history in a Government response. Axyde will obtain specific permission and accurately identify the organization and role responsible for any cited experience.
