26-0136-WAR-11 | Fuel Distribution Systems Mechanic — F.E. Warren AFB (Award Contingent)

  • Cheyenne, WY
  • Transportation/Logistics

Contingent on government contract award and funding.

Axyde Analytics, LLC is recruiting one Fuel Distribution Systems Mechanic for a proposed full-time, onsite assignment supporting DLA fuels operations at F.E. Warren AFB, near Cheyenne, Wyoming. Requisition 26-0136-WAR-11. This is an anticipated opportunity, not an immediate or guaranteed vacancy. Employment depends on award, funded staffing needs, final scope, verified qualifications, required approvals and a mutually accepted written offer.

THE ROLE
Report to the onsite Terminal Manager and provide dedicated fuels maintenance expertise. Perform assigned operator maintenance and condition checks within approved procedures; document defects and escalate unsafe conditions; maintain asset, inspection, work-order, tool and parts records; help coordinate planned outages, Government maintenance access and documented return to service. Support maintenance planning and operational readiness without bypassing work authorization or safety controls.

The current site scope assigns systems maintenance to the Government. This proposed role does not authorize taking over Government-assigned repairs, overhauls or modifications. Refueler vehicle maintenance is separately staffed; systems-maintenance experience alone does not establish vehicle-mechanic qualification. Maintenance is the primary assignment, not a collateral duty. Any occasional operational support requires separate task qualification and must not interfere with maintenance responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated commercial or military experience maintaining fuel bulk storage and distribution systems and equipment at a journeyman-equivalent level. Provide dated examples of systems maintained, troubleshooting, inspection, preventive maintenance, safe isolation and maintenance documentation. Experience with pumps, valves, piping, filtration and associated fuel equipment is relevant. Demonstrate safe work around petroleum products, spill prevention, tool accountability and use of technical procedures. Computerized maintenance-record experience is desirable.

Complete applicable installation access, safety, environmental and task qualifications before independent work. Any required clearance, license or endorsement will follow the actual assigned duties and final contract requirements; no specific clearance level or sponsorship is promised. Government resume review/approval will be obtained where required.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
Onsite at F.E. Warren AFB; not remote. Planned full-time assignment with the detailed schedule established before acceptance. Outdoor work in cold, wind, snow and ice may be required, using applicable PPE and safety controls. Discuss availability for planned maintenance windows, recall, occasional evenings/weekends, mobilization and relocation during screening. Safe performance of essential duties, with reasonable accommodation where applicable, is required.

APPLICATION
Provide a current resume, relevant training/certifications, location and start-date availability, and compensation expectations. Describe vehicle-maintenance qualifications separately, if held. Do not submit classified information, Social Security numbers or sensitive clearance documents. Pay and benefits will reflect applicable contract labor requirements and the accepted written offer. Qualified military, commercial and incumbent fuels-maintenance professionals are encouraged to apply.

ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS AND VERIFICATION

Demonstrate journeyman-equivalent maintenance expertise on bulk petroleum storage/distribution equipment, including pumps, valves, piping and filtration. Apply authorized operator-maintenance limits, safe isolation, defect escalation, work orders and return-to-service documentation. Government-assigned systems maintenance remains Government responsibility.

Evidence and assignment prerequisites

Provide dated systems-maintenance assignments, equipment/tasks and relevant training records. Identify vehicle, electrical, welding, tank-inspection or other specialist qualifications separately if held; none follows automatically from this job title. Government resume approval is obtained where required.

Practical assessment

Demonstrate a defect assessment, authorization boundary, lockout/tagout plan and maintenance handover. Confined-space entry, rescue, respirator use or specialist inspection requires separate applicable authorization and qualification. Maintenance is the primary duty, not a routine operator-relief assignment.

During screening, provide dated role-specific examples and course/license names, issuers, completion dates and expiration dates where applicable. Axyde will verify relevant evidence and assess practical competence before assigning independent duties. Current site-specific permissions may be completed during mobilization; they do not waive required experience or credentials. Qualification is recorded for each named person and each primary/alternate task. Do not send Social Security numbers, medical records, license numbers or sensitive clearance documentation with the initial application; secure verification will be arranged.
