Work arrangement

Remote within the United States, with frequent potential international travel Engagement: Contingent, part-time/on-call specialist Anticipated compensation: $150–$300 per hour, depending on qualifications and assignment, or a negotiated fixed price by work package. $300 per hour is the maximum anticipated rate.

Opportunity

Axyde Analytics is assembling a multidisciplinary expert team for anticipated U.S. government-funded project-scoping assignments involving critical minerals and international infrastructure.

We seek senior assignment and stakeholder-engagement leads capable of organizing multidisciplinary technical, commercial, financial and regional experts around clearly defined Government decisions.

Potential assignments may involve mines, mineral-processing plants, refineries, recycling facilities, associated infrastructure, regional supply chains or targeted critical-minerals sector questions. Leads may coordinate work across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, Europe and Eurasia, or the Indo-Pacific.

This role requires more than conventional project administration. The assignment lead must understand the analytical objective, organize evidence and specialists, conduct senior stakeholder engagement, integrate competing perspectives and produce a concise, defensible recommendation.

Specialist Tracks

We are recruiting leaders with experience in one or more of the following:

International project-scoping and feasibility assignments
Mining, mineral processing or industrial project development
U.S. Government-funded technical assistance
International development and emerging markets
Embassy and host-government engagement
Sponsor and state-owned-enterprise engagement
U.S. industry and supplier outreach
Development-finance and export-credit engagement
Multidisciplinary technical-team leadership
Field-mission planning and execution
Evidence integration and decision analysis
Terms of reference, budgets and implementation planning
Senior Government briefings and concise report development
Cross-cultural and multilingual stakeholder engagement
Schedule, risk, issue and change control
Independent assignment integration and release review

Potential Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, selected leads may:

Translate written Government direction into a clear decision charter.
Confirm assignment scope, deliverable, schedule, evidence thresholds and acceptance criteria.
Identify the mineral, process, country, commercial and financial capabilities required.
Work with Axyde’s staffing system to construct qualified primary and alternate teams.
Assign responsibilities, interfaces, deadlines and required evidence.
Organize sponsor-document review, data requests and analytical workstreams.
Lead Government, sponsor, Embassy and stakeholder kickoff discussions.
Coordinate technical, commercial, financial, environmental and regional specialists.
Ensure every participant works from the same decision question and current assumptions.
Plan international meetings, field visits, evidence objectives and contingency arrangements.
Lead sponsor, government, community, supplier, customer and financing-source engagement.
Conduct daily field-mission integration and evidence reviews.
Resolve contradictory evidence and elevate material exceptions.
Maintain decision, assumption, evidence, risk, issue and action records.
Separate fatal flaws, curable information gaps and manageable risks.
Integrate specialist findings into a coherent recommendation.
Develop or supervise feasibility-study, technical-assistance or pilot-project terms of reference.
Reconcile scope, methods, schedule, budget and acceptance criteria.
Ensure realistic opportunities for U.S. equipment, engineering, technology and services are addressed.
Present concise findings and recommendations to senior Government stakeholders.
Coordinate independent review, comment disposition, correction and final release.
Support post-delivery clarification and minor revisions when required.
Serve as the primary assignment lead, regional lead, deputy lead or independent integration reviewer.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

At least 10 years of directly relevant international project, technical-assistance, feasibility, infrastructure, mining, industrial or development experience.
At least five years leading multidisciplinary professional teams or international assignments.
A degree in engineering, geology, economics, finance, international affairs, project management, public policy or another relevant discipline.
Demonstrated responsibility for identifiable international studies, projects, transactions, field missions or Government-facing assignments.
Experience engaging senior government officials, project sponsors, technical experts, commercial firms, investors, lenders or development institutions.
Ability to understand and integrate technical, commercial, financial, environmental and country-risk considerations.
Demonstrated ability to produce concise, decision-oriented reports and briefings.
Strong schedule, risk, issue, evidence and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong written and verbal English-language communication skills.
Ability to lead effectively across cultures, organizations, disciplines and time zones.
Either U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent-resident status in the United States.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Willingness and ability to begin participating in an assignment within approximately 30 days.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally, potentially on compressed notice.
No known employment, confidentiality, intellectual-property, noncompete or organizational-conflict restriction that would prevent participation.

PMP or comparable project-management credentials, advanced degrees, regional language capability and experience with USTDA, USAID, DFC, EXIM, multilateral development banks or other international-development organizations are particularly valuable.

Engagement Conditions

This is a contingent opportunity supporting anticipated government-funded assignments. No employment, contract award, minimum workload or particular assignment is guaranteed.

Selection for an assignment will depend on contract award, subject-matter and regional fit, leadership qualifications, availability, eligibility, conflicts, travel requirements, mutually acceptable compensation and execution of appropriate employment or consulting documentation.
