Role purpose
Lead geothermal and subsurface-energy opportunity screening from resource uncertainty through exploration, drilling, feasibility, development configuration, off-take, grid integration, financing, environmental/social risk, and phased implementation.
Representative problems this role must solve
A prospective resource is attractive but geoscience, temperature/permeability, drilling, test-well, scale, decline, or reservoir-management evidence is weak.
A small-grid or island project must reconcile resource risk, plant configuration, transmission, tariff/off-take, logistics, finance, safeguards, and resilience.
The sponsor needs a staged evidence and investment plan that avoids committing full feasibility resources before resource risk is reduced.
Responsibilities
Assess exploration/resource evidence, conceptual model, uncertainty, drilling/test strategy, reservoir risks, and data gaps.
Evaluate development concept, plant technology, well field, scale, infrastructure, operations, off-take, grid interface, CAPEX/OPEX, schedule, and bankability interfaces.
Define stage gates, failure criteria, monitoring, fallback pathways, and resource-confirmation TOR tasks.
Integrate country permitting, land/water, environmental/social, finance, utility, logistics, and stakeholder considerations.
Support independent review of resource assumptions, cost/schedule realism, and recommendations.
Minimum evidence-based qualifications
Direct geothermal resource assessment, exploration, drilling, reservoir engineering, well testing, feasibility, development, or operations experience.
Evidence of personally producing or reviewing resource models, drilling/test plans, feasibility inputs, development plans, or investment decisions.
Experience in emerging markets, island systems, or constrained grids is strongly preferred.
Ability to distinguish measured evidence, inference, uncertainty, and decision thresholds.
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, with written attestation required before proposal inclusion.
Demonstrated senior/expert judgment supported by specific project, analysis, decision-product, or implementation evidence—not keyword familiarity alone.
Ability to produce concise, defensible written analysis in English and work across technical, commercial, financial, safeguards, institutional, and implementation interfaces.
Ability to become available for potential Indo-Pacific travel within 20 calendar days after Axyde's written mobilization notice following contract award, subject to assignment needs and Government direction.
Willingness to disclose availability, employment/contract restrictions, confidentiality obligations, conflicts, noncompetes, country/customer limitations, and relevant intellectual-property constraints.
Evidence to submit
Current résumé or CV with dates, employer/client, country, project stage, personal role, methods used, decision product, and outcome for the most relevant assignments.
Two to four representative projects demonstrating the required expert judgment and decision-grade products.
Countries/regions worked, languages used professionally, travel limitations, and current location.
Licenses, registrations, clearances, certifications, publications, or standards experience when relevant to the role.
Written permission for Axyde to use and evidence-preservingly reformat the résumé for solicitation 1131PL26R0056, subject to final résumé review if requested.
Application questions
Are you a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident? State one; do not upload identity documents at the application stage.
May Axyde use your name and evidence-preservingly tailor/reformat your résumé for this specific contingent proposal?
Could you become available for required Indo-Pacific travel within 20 calendar days after Axyde's written mobilization notice following contract award? Identify restrictions.
Identify current employment, contractual, confidentiality, noncompete, customer, country, or conflict restrictions relevant to this opportunity.
Describe the strongest decision product you personally led or independently reviewed and the decision it supported.
Describe a geothermal project where early resource or drilling evidence changed the development decision or sequence.
Which modules can you lead: geoscience/resource, drilling/wells, reservoir, plant, grid/off-take, cost/schedule, environmental/social, or independent review?
Provide one example of a staged resource-risk TOR or work program you developed or reviewed.
