IT Coordinator - DOE Naval Reactors
Axyde Analytics is recruiting an IT Coordinator to support the U.S. Department of Energy Naval Reactors Idaho Branch Office at the Naval Reactors Facility. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Work arrangement
On-site near Idaho Falls, Idaho. Full-time assignment of approximately 2,080 hours per year, normally scheduled as four 10-hour workdays per week. Personnel must support required site coverage, including core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time, with schedules coordinated within normal site operating hours.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate IT projects, schedules, priorities, stakeholders, documentation and status reporting.
- Serve as a liaison among government personnel, IT support teams, users and other departments.
- Track issues, actions, risks and deliverables; escalate and follow through to resolution.
- Support Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook activities and related user needs.
- Assist with account, access, Active Directory, group-policy, file-management and administrative procedures.
- Develop and maintain policies, processes, standard operating procedures and project records.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service, workflows and business processes.
- Support special projects and communicate technical information clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Follow DOE/NNSA cybersecurity, physical security, safety, health, environmental and information-security requirements.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or at least four years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated project-management or project-coordination experience.
- Microsoft certification or demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Ability to articulate technical ideas clearly in writing and orally.
- Strong organization, prioritization, multitasking, customer-service and team-collaboration skills.
Security requirement
A current DOE L access authorization is required before the contract start date. A current Department of Defense Secret clearance may be accepted for reciprocity while DOE adjudication is completed. Applicants must satisfy all DOE site-access, security, safety, health, environmental and information-security requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with software-development or IT service-management processes.
- Experience with Active Directory, group policy, file-management or administrative procedures.
- Experience developing policy, process or SOP documentation and coordinating across departments.
- Demonstrated success identifying issues and improving service or organizational processes.
