Chile Project Director

Axyde Analytics, LLC seeks the proposed key person for a contingent U.S. Department of Labor/ILAB critical-minerals program focused on Chile's copper supply chain, worker voice, responsible labor practice, reliable field evidence and measurable benefits for American jobs and wages. The position is contingent on award, final agreement and due diligence.

Location and commitment

Santiago preferred; hybrid, with frequent travel to Chilean copper regions and periodic U.S. coordination. Thirty-six months. Approximately 90% level of effort—about 36 hours per week when measured against a 40-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day technical, operational, partner and field delivery in Chile.
  • Integrate labor standards, industrial relations, worker voice, safeguarding, MEL, mining stakeholders and U.S.-benefit evidence into one accountable work plan.
  • Manage Chile partners, specialists and field teams; own schedule, budget, risk, quality, reporting and corrective action.
  • Represent the program with employers, workers, unions, contractors, communities and other non-governmental stakeholders while maintaining independence and conflict controls.
  • Coordinate with Axyde, which retains federal accountability, the DOL relationship, financial stewardship and final decisions.

Must-have qualifications

  • At least 12 years of progressively responsible program leadership and at least 5 years leading donor-, government- or institutionally funded work.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Legal authorization to perform the proposed work in Chile without Axyde sponsorship; Chilean citizenship is not required.
  • Substantial experience in at least two of: labor/industrial relations; collective bargaining or worker voice; grievance and remediation; safeguarding; responsible sourcing; workforce development; social dialogue.
  • Mining, metals, critical-minerals or another complex/high-risk operating-sector background.
  • Demonstrated partner/subrecipient management, outcome reporting and executive stakeholder engagement.

Apply with a current résumé and a short response confirming Chile work authorization, bilingual proficiency, 90% availability, earliest post-award start, rate expectations, current commitments, employer approval if applicable, conflicts and two relevant programs led. Candidates selected for proposal use must, within 24–48 hours, authorize Axyde in writing to use their name and résumé for this specific proposal and review the proposed role description. Proposal use creates no pre-award compensation, employment guarantee or post-award obligation absent a written agreement.

Compensation

Current planning basis: USD 105,000 in Year 1 and USD 135,000 in Years 2–3, subject to award terms, final scope, documented market reasonableness and negotiation.
