WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

Axyde is building an industrial digital-twin and predictive-maintenance capability through an anchor-client strategy: pursue a substantial initial customer engagement and assemble the technical leadership, specialist partners and delivery infrastructure needed to execute it.

Our immediate pursuit involves an industrial site exceeding one million square feet, with equipment-dense operating environments and demanding engineering-information requirements. We intend this engagement to establish a repeatable delivery capability for other large, complex facilities—not remain a one-off project.

We seek an experienced technical leader to help turn that strategy into a credible solution, shape the delivery organization and lead technical execution.

The anchor engagement is being pursued; it is not yet secured or funded. This opportunity begins with a bounded, at-risk consulting engagement, with a defined path to salaried employment and significant incentive compensation upon customer funding.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Axyde’s approach brings specialist delivery partners together under integrated program leadership, technical coordination and quality management.

You would connect the disciplines that must work together: industrial laser scanning, survey control, point-cloud processing, Revit, Plant 3D, P&ID-linked information, asset data and reliability analytics.

This is an industrial engineering and facility-digitization leadership role—not primarily software development, visualization or individual modeling production.

We need someone who has delivered this kind of work through customer acceptance and understands what makes an engineering product accurate, usable and maintainable.

You would work directly with Axyde’s leadership, with documented responsibility for the integrated technical approach, partner technical reviews, acceptance recommendations and escalation of unresolved deficiencies.

We want your judgment, not your endorsement. Challenging unrealistic assumptions, identifying missing capabilities and recommending whether to proceed are central to the role.

THE INITIAL ENGAGEMENT

We anticipate 40–80 hours over approximately four weeks for the initial capability-development engagement, focused on the proposed anchor engagement.

Before substantive work begins, we will agree a written scope, deliverables and maximum commitment. Expected contributions include:

• Assessing requirements, technical feasibility and mandatory compliance gates.
• Evaluating partner capabilities, scope coverage and delivery accountability.
• Developing the integrated technical approach, interfaces and acceptance criteria.
• Reviewing staffing, production assumptions, schedules and technical cost drivers.
• Preparing and reviewing assigned technical proposal content.
• Providing a documented recommendation on readiness to proceed.

This is not an open-ended obligation to build the entire capability, write the complete proposal or remain available until funding arrives. Additional effort requires mutual written agreement.

Participation is nonexclusive, subject to confidentiality and agreed conflict-of-interest obligations. Any further capability development or additional pursuit support will be separately scoped.

YOUR FUNDED LEADERSHIP ROLE

Following customer award, receipt of the specified funding and execution of the employment agreement, you would:

• Own and maintain the integrated technical baseline.
• Lead technical coordination across specialist delivery partners.
• Evaluate capture methods, accuracy evidence, modeling approaches and data interfaces.
• Resolve discrepancies among field conditions, drawings, point clouds, engineering models and asset records.
• Lead technical reviews and require corrective action through agreed program processes.
• Coordinate reliability and predictive-maintenance specialists with the physical digital-twin effort.
• Guide technical acceptance, customer demonstrations, handover and sustainment.
• Develop reusable delivery methods that can support subsequent customer engagements.

Axyde retains commercial and contractual authority. Your technical decision rights, partner interfaces and escalation paths will be explicit.

You are not expected to personally perform every discipline. Licensed survey and other discipline-specific responsibilities remain with appropriately qualified providers.

EXPERIENCE WE NEED

You should have personally led industrial reality-capture, scan-to-BIM or engineering as-built programs through customer acceptance, with demonstrated experience in:

• Equipment-dense operating facilities, such as manufacturing plants, utilities, power generation or complex test facilities.
• Survey-control interfaces, registration, dimensional accuracy, coverage limitations, occlusions and field verification.
• Evaluating Revit and Plant 3D deliverables and understanding their distinct relationships with P&IDs and asset information.
• Coordinating multiple engineering disciplines or specialist subcontractors.
• Estimating, resource planning, technical quality assurance and controlled change.
• Translating incomplete requirements into explicit assumptions, decisions and measurable acceptance criteria.

Experience with rotating equipment, reliability engineering, secure facilities or controlled technical-data environments is particularly relevant.

Experience limited to commercial-building visualization, software architecture or individual modeling production would not, by itself, establish qualification for this lead role.

COMPENSATION AND TRANSPARENCY

The intended funded position offers:

• $200,000+ annual W-2 base salary, with final compensation reflecting experience and agreed responsibilities.
• Benefits, specified in the employment offer.
• A substantial initial contingent payment recognizing the agreed pre-funding contribution.
• Additional, clearly defined milestone incentives during delivery.

We will disclose the proposed incentive amounts and payment structure during the first substantive discussion—before asking you to perform technical work.

The initial consulting engagement is at risk. Compensation depends on a successful customer contract award and Axyde’s actual receipt of the specified customer payment. If those conditions do not occur, the initial engagement may result in no compensation.

Before work begins, the written agreement will establish:

• Authorized scope, deliverables and maximum effort.
• Exact compensation amounts, earning conditions and payment deadlines.
• Treatment of delays, withdrawal, termination and changes to the proposed team.
• Permitted use of your work and qualifications.
• Intended employment responsibilities and contractual separation protections.

Contract award alone does not trigger payment or employment commencement. Funded employment begins upon receipt of the specified first customer milestone payment, under the executed employment agreement.

Employment will be at will, subject to applicable law and the written terms. Once employment begins, salary is paid through regular payroll, independently of subsequent customer-payment timing.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

Before funding: Work will be remote. Any requested travel requires advance approval. Approved direct travel expenses are reimbursed separately and are not contingent on award.

During funded delivery: The position remains remote-based with frequent visits to the initial anticipated project site in the southeastern United States. Future engagements may involve additional customer sites.

Locations, expected travel frequency and customer-specific access requirements will be disclosed before commitment. Additional-site responsibilities will be separately scoped and agreed.
