Contingent opportunity: Axyde Analytics is building a proposed team for ERDC Fellowship Program Administration and Research Support. This is advance recruiting, not an awarded or funded position. Hiring, hours, start date and final duties depend on contract award, funding, task orders and mutually agreed terms. Fractional support may be appropriate; no hours are guaranteed.

Work arrangement: Remote administrative work is proposed, with travel and onsite support as required. Midlothian, Virginia is Axyde's administrative base, not an established ERDC duty station. Fully remote work is not guaranteed.

Research Agreements and Intellectual Property Counsel

Provide fractional legal support for the proposed fellowship program's research, university and participant agreements. This is a counsel role for licensed attorneys; it does not confer Government contracting or approval authority.

Responsibilities

• Review fellowship, research-participation, university and intellectual-property agreements and advise Axyde on substantive exceptions.
• Assess publication, data, confidentiality, invention and IP provisions against governing contract terms and applicable requirements.
• Advise on appointment/payment classifications and compliance questions with finance and program leadership.
• Support subcontract and institutional agreement terms, records requirements and issue escalation.
• Develop practical routing guidance and administrator training while reserving Government decisions to authorized officials.

What we seek

• Active admission in good standing to a U.S. jurisdiction and authority to provide the services in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Direct research/university agreement and IP counseling experience.
• Ability to provide timely, practical written advice and complete conflict checks before engagement.

Preferred: federal laboratory, technology-transfer, government-contract or fellowship-program experience. Patent prosecution is not the primary scope. Final engagement may be part-time employment or separately agreed outside-counsel services; do not submit privileged client materials.
