Warehouse Operations & Transition Specialists — Hybrid / Travel (Contingent)

Help plan and deliver the next stage of federal warehouse operations.

Axyde Analytics, LLC is building a candidate pool for anticipated warehouse planning, operational readiness and transition work in the Mid-Atlantic. We are especially interested in professionals who have worked in DLA distribution centers or comparable military, federal or commercial warehouses.

This is a contingent talent-pool posting. We are considering candidates across project management, warehouse operations, inventory control, transition planning and implementation support. Specific assignments, staffing levels, hours, start dates and employment terms will depend on contract award, funding and final customer requirements. You do not need to cover every specialty below.

Location and work arrangement

Harrisburg is our recruiting location for this posting. We welcome applicants from Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, New Cumberland, Chambersburg, Richmond and other regional logistics communities, as well as candidates elsewhere who can support the required travel.

Planning, analysis, reporting, procedures development and coordination are anticipated to include substantial remote work where customer requirements permit. Project work will support a Mid-Atlantic facility outside the advertised recruiting city. Site surveys, inventory validation, installation coordination, relocation and activation will require in-person participation, potentially including concentrated periods on site. The performance location, travel expectations and schedule will be discussed during screening and confirmed before any engagement. This is not a guaranteed fully remote position.

Areas of experience we are seeking

• Project and transition management: integrated schedules, customer coordination, risk and issue management, readiness reviews, contractor coordination and acceptance documentation.
• Warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, material handling, operating procedures and workforce planning.
• Inventory and accountability: physical inventories, location and item records, reconciliation, asset tagging, custody controls and movement tracking.
• Warehouse startup and relocation: opening or consolidating facilities, phased moves, equipment reuse, continuity of operations, move sequencing and post-move stabilization.
• Systems and process improvement: warehouse management systems, barcode or RFID workflows, master-data preparation, process mapping, performance measures and user training.
• Planning and documentation: concepts of operations, requirements development, acquisition-package support, training materials and coordination with design, outfitting and relocation specialists.

Relevant background

• Demonstrated responsibility in one or more of the areas above, with concrete examples of your own work and results.
• DLA Distribution or other DoD warehouse experience is strongly preferred. Comparable federal and commercial distribution-center experience is also welcome.
• For project-management and transition-lead assignments, direct responsibility for a warehouse opening, consolidation, relocation, major reconfiguration or systems conversion is particularly valuable.
• Ability to communicate clearly, prepare practical documentation and coordinate with customer personnel and technical partners.
• Ability to support the travel and on-site requirements of the assignment being considered.

Relevant backgrounds may include warehouse and distribution managers, logistics management specialists, inventory specialists, industrial engineers, project coordinators and experienced military logisticians.
