Axyde Analytics, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Layout and CAD Specialist - IOTA for a Department of Veterans Affairs warehouse Initial Outfitting, Transition and Activation (IOTA) opportunity in Martinsburg, WV. This opportunity is contingent on contract award and funding.
What you will do
- Translate operating and inventory requirements into practical warehouse layouts coordinated with the Senior Designer and transition team.
- Assess reuse, storage configurations, material-handling needs, space utilization and installation interfaces.
- Support field verification, equipment specifications, design reviews and installation coordination; escalate changes affecting the lessor/building design.
Qualifications for the assigned work
- Demonstrated warehouse or distribution-facility layout experience addressing storage, receiving, staging, material flow and operational access.
- Ability to produce and revise coordinated CAD layouts and equipment schedules, and explain design assumptions to users and technical reviewers.
- Ability to identify racking, anchorage, clearance, building-system and life-safety interfaces for review by the responsible qualified specialists.
Completed warehouse openings or relocations are particularly relevant. Identify your own design responsibilities, software experience and any applicable professional credentials. Work requiring licensed engineering will be assigned to appropriately licensed professionals; this posting does not authorize unlicensed engineering practice.
Assignment and engagement
Performance location: Martinsburg, West Virginia. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is the recruiting location for this posting. Applicants from the surrounding region or elsewhere are welcome if they can meet the on-site requirements. Individuals seeking employment and qualified personnel available through subcontract partners may express interest. Engagement structure, full-time or part-time hours, compensation and start date will be agreed separately; no employment or subcontract award is guaranteed.
The Government facility is the primary place of performance, with necessary off-site work as permitted by the contract. Normal contract core hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays. Staffing and any remote work depend on project phase and customer requirements. Installation and relocation assignments require on-site work; some approved weekend work may be needed.
Personnel must satisfy applicable VA background-investigation, identity/access and training requirements before duties requiring that access. Personnel using VA computer systems must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
